  FARLING
  
  James D. Farling, 79, of Somerset, died April 11, 1978, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 11, 1899, in Rockwood, son of Ephriam and
  Vesta (Whittmier) Farling.  Survived by widow, the former Evelyn Custer,
  and these children: Mrs. Jay (Elaine) Kelly, Hickory, Pa.; Mrs. George
  (Helen) Cramer of Rockwood RD 2; Mrs. Eugene (Maxine) Stauffer, Allison
  Park, Pa.; Mrs. Charles (Brenda) Woleslagel, Oakdale, Pa.; 10 grandchildren
  and four great-grandchildren.  Also survived by these brothers and sisters:
  Mrs. Ferne Barnaby, Ontario, Calif; Mrs. Dean (Irene) Wiggins, York, and
  Frank, of Hartford City, Ind.; Howard of San Francisco, Calif; Preceded in
  death by one sister and three brothers.  Friends will be received today
  after 1 p.m. at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home.  Funeral services at
  2:30 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Arnold Kastner officiating.  Interment, St.
  John's Cemetery
