(Bugs) Farner, 80, of Salisbury, died Sept. 30, 1974, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born in Salisbury, Jan. 18, 1894, he was a son of Frank and Emily (Lichliter) Farner. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary E. Lowery, in 1972. He was a retired barber and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury. Surviving are three sons, Harry F. Farner, Salisbury; James W. Farner, Baltimore, Md.; and Paul G. Farner, West Salisbury; and three daughters, Mrs. Geneva McKerahan, Baltimore; Mrs. Marlene Menhorn, Meyersdale RD 1; and Mrs. Joan Murphy, Cleveland, Ohio; also seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mabelle Miller of Salisbury. Friends are being received at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral service will be held at 3:30 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon with Rev. Ernest N. Rumbaugh officiating.
