Farner, 58, of Baltimore, Md., died Wednesday, December 15, 1982 at South Baltimore General Hospital. Born December 16, 1923, in Salisbury, Pa., he was a son of Glen W. and Mary (Lowdry) Farner. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul, who died November 8, 1982. He is survived by his wife, the former Lois Baucom, daughters, Jamie Sue and Laura Lee Farner, and two step-children, Joyce Philhower and Bruce Tanner; also a brother, Harry of Salisbury; and sisters Geneva McKerahan, of Baltimore, Md.; JoAnn Murphy, of Cleveland, Ohio; and Marlene Menhorn, of Meyersdale RD 1. He was an employee of Harbson Walker Refractories and a member of the Salisbury American Legion. Friends were received at the Gonce Funeral Home, 4001 Richie Highway, where services were held Saturday, December 18, with the Rev. William Thompson officiating.
