("Diz") Farner, 55, of West Salisbury, died Nov. 8, 1982, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. He was born May 31, 1927, in Salisbury, son of the late Glen and Mary (Lowry) Farner. He is survived by his wife, the former Charlotte Fuller; one daughter, Mrs. Victoria Artice, of Meyersdale RD 1; one son, Richard, of West Salisbury; also a granddaughter, Rebecca; three sisters: Mrs. Geneva McKerahan, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Marlene Menhorn, Meyersdale RD 1; and Mrs. Joan Murphy, of Cleveland; also two brothers: Harry, of Salisbury; and James, of Baltimore, Md. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury; veteran of World War II; member of Salisbury American Legion; member of Salisbury VFW and a life-member of the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Operative Plasters and Cement Finishers Union Number 526, Pittsburgh. Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services were held in St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Fetter officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
