Fasnacht, 80, Perry Township, passed away Nov. 20, 2006, at Hanover House. Leora was born Jan. 19, 1926, in Somerset, to the late Melvin and Jennie E. ( Stahl) Baker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Harold Baker in 1960. She is survived by her husband, Dale Fasnacht, Perry Township; a brother, John (Gloria) Baker of Jackson Township, and several nieces and nephews. She has been an area resident since 1942, and was employed at Kobackers Department Store in Canton. On Sept. 8, 1955, she married A. Dale Fasnacht with whom she has shared 51 years of marriage. They have been members of First Christian Church in Massillon since 1962. She assisted her husband with the family farm and was well known for her black raspberry pies. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Massillon. Her pastor, the Rev. Tim Brown, will officiate. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Canton. Memorials may be made to the church.
