Fate, 54, Akron, Ohio, formerly of Salisbury, died Wednesday, March 29, in Akron. Born in Boynton, he was a son of Mrs. Lottie (Showalter) Fate, of Salisbury, and the late Charles Fate. Also surviving are his wife, the former Velma Brown, formerly of Finzel; a son, Jack, Akron; a daughter, Mary Lee, at home; six grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ruby Gomer, Hyndman RD 1. Living in Akron for the past 25 years, he was an employee at Goodyear for 24 years, and was a member of Goodyear's 20-year club. He belonged to Willard United Church of Christ. Funeral service was conducted on Saturday, Apr. 1, in Schermesser Funeral Home, Akron, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, April 6, 1967 [F0086]
