Born in Newark, N.J., on July 26, 1927, he is the son of the late Freddy and Margaret (Kellenbence) Bohan. He was preceded in death by a son Jay Lloyd Faul, uncle and aunt Walter and Leda Kellenbence. He is the husband of Gisela (Pechmann) Faul, whom he married on June 5, 1954. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Theresa Faul, wife of Ed Hancock, Albany, N.Y.; Betty (Shoemaker), wife of Dale Chaney, Fairhope; Christina (Faul) Dunigan, Johnstown; Barbara (Faul), wife of Anthony Edes, Manassas, Va.; sons, Walter, husband of Michelle (Tressler) Faul, Buffalo Mills; Steven, husband of Tracy (Tucker) Faul, Fort Lewis, Wash. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Benjamin Chaney and wife Samantha; Lisa (Dunigan) and husband Nick Wilson; Michael Dunigan; Emily, Christopher and Brandon Faul; Thomas Hancock; Molly Edes; Jessica, Daniel and Jacob Faul; and two great-grandchildren, Daniel Dunigan and Cora Chaney. He was a life member of the NRA, a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Bedford American Legion Post 113 and the Berlin Volunteer Fire Co., and was affiliated with the Messiah Lutheran Church, Bedford. He was a long-haul truck driver for 44 years, driving for Midstate, Spector Freight for more than 25 years and UPS. He was a private first class in the U.S. Army. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family at the Outer Banks. Friends are invited to call 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, where a funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Donna Wolfinger officiating.
