Born June 24, 1924 in Hollsopple, daughter of Michael and Mary (Korina) Honkus. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George, who died in 1985; brother, George; sister, Mrs. Helen Imbornone. Survived by these children; George, married to the former Patricia Strain of Pittsburgh; Catherine J., wife of Barry Duca, Dunlo. Grandchildren; Colleen, wife of Dewey Layton; Joseph Duca, married to the former Barbara Lusczek; Kimberle, Matthew, Jason, Amanda, Kristen and Jessica Federovich. Sister of Mary Green of Johnstown, Frank Honkus and Susie Grandas, both of Hollsopple, Anna Berish and Pauline Patsy, both of Windber. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Former employee of Frank Honkus Construction and also Grant's Department Store in Windber. Member of Polish Falcons Nest 97 of Windber, also past treasurer of Hollsopple PNA Lodge 2606. Member of Polish Falcons and St. John Cantius Bowling Leagues. Member of St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Windber where she was a Eucharistic Minister. Also a member of the Stephen Ministry. Friends received 4-9 p.m. Saturday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home in Windber. Funeral mass 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Cantius Church in Windber.
