    Dorothy E. Felten, 71, of Meadow View Manor, Berlin, formerly of New 
  Baltimore, died Sept. 6, 1997 at Somerset Hospital.  Born Feb. 14, 1926 
  in Somerset County. Daughter of the late Ferris C. and Edna P. (Shumaker) 
  Ringer.  Preceded in death by husband Edmund B. "Bud" Felten on March 
  16, 1976.  They were married Sept. 26, 1953.  Also preceded by brother 
  Robert and a sister Fern.  Survived by these children: David C. Merriman, 
  married to the former Pamela Stufft, Kennesaw, Ga.; Ralph E. Merriman 
  Jr., Woodbine, N.J., and Bonnie J., wife of Ken Stump of Latrobe.  Sister 
  of : Hazel Sipe, New Centerville; Ruth Shaffer, Somerset; Lois Kelly, 
  Johnstown; Mary Newton. Tampa, Fla.  Also survived by four grandchildren.  
  She was a former secretary at Bedford Steam Laundry.  Member of Holy 
  Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 
  p.m. Monday at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where services 
  will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Melvin Kirk officiating. 
  Interment St. John's Cemetery, New Baltimore.
