She was born in Frostburg, and was a daughter of the late John McKenzie and Grace (Michaels) Jeffries McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Femi. She was employed by Workman Enterprises and was a member of St. Michael?s Catholic Church. She is survived by three sons, E. Joseph Femi, at home, Francis (Tom) Femi and James Femi, both of Frostburg; nine sisters, Mrs. Clara Cain and Mrs. Margaret Jones, both of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Rhoda Cutter and Mrs. Hilda Giles, both of Midlothian, Md.; Mrs. Mildred Minnick, Mrs. Evelyn Shriver and Mrs. Thelma Raley, all of Frostburg; Mrs. Della Connor and Mrs. Ruth Durkin, both of Eckhart, Md.; five brothers, Irvin McKenzie, Pottsville; Anthony J. McKenzie, Frostburg; William McKenzie, Francis (Dick) McKenzie and Eugene (Flooz) McKenzie, all of Finzel. Also surviving is Mrs. Lillie Scarlett, Midlothian, who was reared by Mrs. Femi. Friends were received at the Sowers Funeral Home. A Christian wake service was conducted at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Michael?s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Allen Minnick, Walter Shriver, Francis Giles, John McKenzie Jr., David McKenzie and Wayne McKenzie. The Republic, November 6, 1980 [F0174]
