Ferner, 74, of South Street, Berlin, died Aug. 22, 1979, at her residence. She was born May 9, 1905, in Allegany County, Md., the daughter of William and Lucinda (Ringler) Butler. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roy. She is survived by her husband, Joseph C.; three daughters: Mrs. Marie Moore, Mrs. Delores Maul, both of Berlin; Mrs. Dorothy Hoskins, Deer Park, N.Y.; one son, James, of Tiffin, Ohio; six grandchildren; also by two sisters: Mrs. Roy (Violet) Saylor, Meyersdale; Mrs. Mabel Pyle, Somerset RD 1; and one brother, Paul Butler, Meyersdale RD 1. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin. This death ended a marriage of 56 years. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
