    Kathryn Ellen Ferner, 86, Rockwood RD 2, died July 31, 1986, at 
  Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  Born Jan. 29, 1900, in Sipesville, 
  she was a daughter of Frank and Effie (Walker) Thomas.  
    Preceded in death by husband, Paul, two brothers, one sister and one 
  grandson.  Survived by one daughter, Pauline Dona, Rockwood RD 2; two 
  sons: Clyde Ferner, Latrobe RD 1, and Glenn Ferner, Adams, Ore.; five 
  grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildre; one great-great-granddaughter; one 
  step-great-grandson; one brother, Guy Thomas, Hunker RD 1; and one 
  sister, Lena Shumaker, Berlin RD 4.  She was a member of the Somerset 
  Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. 
  Saturday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be 
  conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Richard Byrd.  Interment, 
  Middlecreek Church Cemetery.
