Born Aug. 30, 1915 at Dunmore, Pa., son of the late John and Marie Ferraro. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Marie Holler Ferraro; two sons, Frank Ferraro, Salisbury, Samuel Ferraro Jr., Salisbury; one daughter, Rosemary Ferraro, Hampstead, Md.; four brothers, Raymond, Wallingford, Pa.; James, Goldsboro, Pa.; William, Scranton, Ohio; Frank, Oregon; one sister, Rose Pettito, Rochester, N.Y.; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sons, John and James; one sister, Connie Stafforoni. He was a retired cement finisher. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury, member of Meyersdale Lodge 548, F.&A.M., member of Harrisburg Consistory and the Salisbury American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be at the Newman Funeral Home, Salisbury, 7-9 p.m., Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 11 a.m., Wednesday, by the Rev. Raymond Brown. Interment in Salisbury Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be accorded by area veterans organizations. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Cumberland Memorial Hospice Unit, Cumberland, Md.
