  George Peter Ferris, 88, Somerset, died Dec. 6, 2005, at Somerset Hospital,
  Somerset.
  
  Born July 19, 1917, in Johnstown, the son of George and Selma (Wood) Ferris.
  Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Betty Johnson who died in 1986;
  brothers, Abe, Dean and Robert Ferris; and sisters, Sally Ferris and Ann
  Dollard. Survived by brother Phillip Ferris and wife Dorothy, New Florence; and
  numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Member of St. Paul's
  Presbyterian Church. A 1935 graduate of Johnstown High School, World War II
  U.S. Air Force veteran. Had owned and operated Ferris' Parking Lot along Main
  Street, Somerset, for 49 years until his retirement in 1996. Also a member of
  FOE Aerie 1801 and was an avid pool player, playing in various leagues
  throughout the years. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at
  the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at
  8 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Keith M. Fink officiating. Interment POS of A Cemetery.
