Born Oct. 2, 1921, in Ligonier, son of Clarence Sloan "Hub" and Katherine (Ulery) Ferry. Preceded in death by parents; stepmother, Irene (Harbaugh) Gillingham-Ferry; first wife, June E. (Shaulis) Ferry, who died April 28, 1946; one brother, Charles Ferry; and two sisters Laura Ankeny and Dorothy Bee. Survived by his second wife, the former Ellen Louise Craig, to whom he was married 52 years. Brother of : Mrs. Viola Cicciarelli, Somerset; John F. Ferry, Jennerstown; Mrs. Helen Risko, Mrs. Beverly Reese, James P. Ferry, all of Somerset; Rodger L. Ferry Quecreek: Jeffrey L. Ferry, Somerset; Mrs. Ronald (Betty) Hyatt, Greensburg; Mrs. Russell (Patty) Smith, Arlington, Texas; and Mrs. Wayne (Mickey), Rayman, Friedens. Member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Edie; and Disable American Veterans. World War II Veteran U.S. Army Custodian for North Star School District, retiring in 1976. Friends received from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at St. John's United Methodist Church, Edie, with the Rev. Barry K. Ritenour officiating. Viewing at the church from noon until time of service.
