Fether, 44, of Canton, Ohio, Died Aug. 8, 1981 at Lonaconing RD 1, Md. He was a son of the late Harley Fether and Bell Fether. He was a Korean and Viet Nam wars veteran and was retired after 20 years with the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife, Edith (Blocher) Fether, formerly of Frostburg, Md.; one son, Allen Fether, at home; three daughters, Deborah Ann Fether; Wendy Lynn Fether, and Diane Dee Fether, all at home; three brothers, Ronald Fether and Harley Fether, both of Canton, Ohio; and Duane Fether, of Sarasota, Fla.; seven sisters, Mary Ann Werner, Mrs. Ruth Ann Parsons, both of Canton, Ohio; Miss Ollie Fether, Genva, Ohio; Mrs. Doris Johns, Elmante, Cal., Mrs. Pat Warren and Mrs. Glenda Giesey, both of Cambridge, Ohio, and Mrs. Mickey Runyon, of Michigan. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., where services were conducted by the Rev. K. Almond. Interment will be in Johnson Cemetery. Military rites were accorded.
