Fike, 74, of Markleysburg RD 1, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1988, at Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. He was born Aug. 30, 1913, at Selbysport, Md., he was the son of the late William Lloyd and Violet (Dennis) Fike. He was employed as a gas station attendant with the Dennis Lumber Company; was a member of the Asher Glade Church of the Brethren and a U.s. Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are his widow, Ruth M. (Reese) Fike; one son, Melvin Fike, Confluence; two step-sons, Vernon Teets, Barberton, Ohio; and William Wayne Teets, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Potter, Lanham, Md.; Mrs. Lyla Schmidt, Pittsburgh; and Mrs. Linda Tressler, Confluence; one brother, Clifford Fike, Markleysburg; one sister, Mrs. Verna Fike, Markleysburg; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, Md. Services were conducted at the Asher Glade Church of the Brethren at 1 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. James Show and the Rev.
