Fike, constable, died at his home in Friendsville on Saturday morning, January 17, at 6 o'clock, aged 63 years. He was the son of the late Jackson and Frances (Frazee) Fike. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Liston) Fike, two sisters and one brother. Mr. Fike had lived on a farm near Shelbysport until a few years ago. He was a member of the Shelbysport Methodist Church, a member of the Friendsville Fire Company, and served as Constable for several years. Funeral services were conducted at his late home on Monday, January 19, at 2 p.m., Rev. W. E. Wade officiating. Interment was in the Addison Cemetery. Pallbearers were Troopers Milton Hart, Glenn Folk and Blair Buckel, Deputy Sheriff Paul Fisher, Charley B. Miller and Cecil Schroyer. Meyersdale Republican, January 29, 1948
