MAGGIE FIKE

  Mrs. Maggie Fike died on Sunday, July 27, at 9 p.m., at her home, Meyersdale 
R.D. 3, following an illness of five months duration, at the age of 70 years, 7 
months and 23 days.
  She was born in Boynton, Dec. 6, 1876, a daughter of Abraham and Sarah 
(Meyers) Thomas.
  Her husband, Wallace A. Fike, died a number of years ago.  She is survived by 
two sons, John R. of Baltimore, and Ralph T. of York; two daughters, Mrs. Albert 
Frerot of York, and Mrs. Homer Orendorf of Meyersdale R.D. 3, four grandchildren 
and one great-grandchild.
  Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon in the local Church of the 
Brethren, with Rev. S. Loren Bowman officiating.  Interment in Union Cemetery 
under the direction of W. C. Price & Son.
