"Hank" 01/10/08 The New Republic March 31, 1916 December 30, 2007 Walter M. "Hank" Fike, 91 of Meyersdale, went to be with the Lord December 30, 2007 at his home. He was born March 31, 1916 in Summit Twp., son of the late Elias and Bessie (Miller) Fike. Also preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth "Libby" (Hay) Fike; grandsons: Kirk and Neil; and sister Gladys Austin. He is survived by three daughters: Gail, wife of the late Harold Livengood; Lois, wife of Robert Lohr; and Mary Ann, wife of Richard Deist, all of Meyersdale. Three grandchildren: David Lohr, Diane Hostetler, and Wayne Livengood. Also 10 great grandchildren. A brother of Leora Hoffman, Jerone. He was a member of the Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church. Hank loved the Lord and was faithful to His service. He was owner of Fi-Hoff Concrete Products of Meyersdale from 1952 until his retirement. Friends were received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale, where service was conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Shimer Darr officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church Foreign Missions or Home Missions.
