Born March 3, 1902, in Meyersdale, he was the son of the late John and Hannah (Rowe) Finegan. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Sadie Damico; a daughter Zoe Ann; a brother, Bill; and a sister, Emma Commons. Survived by two nephews, Jack Commons, Meyersdale, and Harry Commons, Bradenton, Fla.; a niece, Mrs. Genevieve Sheehan, Mansfield, Ohio. A life member of L.O.O.M. No. 76, Secretary of the Somerset County Fair Board, member of the Masonic Lodge No. 554 F. & A.M., Jaffa Temple, Hebron Royal Arch Chapter No. 272, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rites, Harrisburg. The former mayor of Meyersdale, he was the retired manager of the Acme market in Meyersdale and the former manager of the Meyersdale Ambulance Association. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Wayne Rickard officiating.
