Firestone Sr., 63, Geneva, Ohio, died May 28, 1997, in University Hospitals of Cleveland. Born Feb. 6, 1934, in Somerset, a son of Donald C. and Grace E. (Custer) Firestone. Preceded in death by his father, Donald. Survived by his mother, Geneva; his wife, Leora, whom he married on Nov. 13, 1953; sons: Donald Jr., Jefferson; Gary, North Carolina; Ronald, Ashtabula; daughters: Linda Firestone, Geneva; Sue Gochneaur, Ashtabula; Judy Firestone, Geneva; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen Alexander, Geneva; and brother, Bob Firestone, Madison. He was employed for 29 years as an auto mechanic at Massucci's Ford and retired in 1989. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, bluegrass music and working on cars. He attended the Church of God in Jefferson. Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, Ohio, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Jack Alexander, Free Pentecostal Fellowship Church, Geneva, officiating.
