Mr. Firestone, who lived alone in his house, was missed by his neighbors who had not seen him for several days. They reported to Constable Harry Cameron who, assisted by John Van Sickel, broke open the door where they found Mr. Firestone dead at the foot of the stairs. The remains were taken to C. B. Humbert's undertaking establishment in Confluence, where the Assistant County Coroner, Mrs. Guy Fluck, empanelled a jury who rendered a verdict of accidental death, due to falling down stairs. Milton Firestone was born at Ursina in 1868, being 63 years old at the time of his death. He was a son of Emanuel and Jane Ream Firestone. His mother was a sister of the late multi-millionaire, Norman B. Ream, who was born and reared at Ursina. Mr. Firestone was never married. He is survived by one brother, Rev. N. B. Firestone, a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church residing at McKeesport, who, when notified of his brother's death, came here and attended to all the arrangements for the funeral which took place on February 12 at Humbert's undertaking room, Rev. H. W. Jamison officiating; interment in the Jersey cemetery. Milton Firestone was a man of sterling qualities, sober, honest and industrious, and was respected by all who knew him. The only surviving member of the family is Rev. N. B. Firestone. Two brothers preceded him to the grave - one, B. F. Firestone, died in Wilkinsburg, and John Firestone, another brother, died in Washington, D.C., several years ago. Meyersdale Republican, February 19, 1931
