She was born July 18, 1884 in Somerset County, a daughter of the late Irvin and Alice (Phillippi) Younkin. She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Orpha Hostetler of Mather; Mrs. Vida Sipe of Ursina; Mrs. Rhuie Lynch and Mrs. Kathryn Gerhart, both of Latrobe; 42 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harry Younkin of Owensdale, Pa. She was a charter member of the Confluence Rebecca Lodge; a member of the D of A of Waynesburg; and the Old Bethel Church of God at Hexabarger. Friends were received at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence where services were held with the Rev. Kempton Oaks officiating. Interment, Jersey Cemetery.
