Born June 8, 1906, in Summit Mills. A daughter of the late Austin and Hannah (Leckemby) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, Oct. 11, 1990. Survived by two sons: William of Meyersdale, and Rev. Robert, Morongo Valley, Calif.; sister, Dorothy Thomas, of Frederick, Md. Five grandchildren: Dan Firl and Robyn (Firl) Gauntz, both of Meyersdale; Ruth (Firl) Hotz, and Jonathan and David Firl, all of California. Great-grandchildren: Jill (Firl) Marker, Joshua, Jacob and Rachel Holz; Steven, Zachary, Nicholas, Hannah and RaeAnn Firl. Great-great-granddaughter, Madeline Marker. She was a charter member of Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church, where she held various offices over the years. She taught Sunday school for more than 60 years. She faithfully served the Lord as long as her health permitted and when she no longer could be out, she still kept in contact with her many friends and continued to hold them up in prayer. She retired from Gnagey's Restaurant after 17 years as a waitress and cook. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Viewing will be held at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church, with Rev. Randy Haulk officiating Interment, Union Cemetery.
