She was the wife of Milton Firl. Besides her husband and son, Ellwood, she leaves these sisters and brothers: Mrs. William Sturtz, Cleveland, O.; Mrs. Benjamin Maust, Buffalo Mills; Miss Viola Emerick, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Ellwood Miller and Eugene Emerick, Johnstown, and Alvin Emerick, Jennerstown. Mrs. Firl was born in Somerset County on June 15, 1892, a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Anna (Willison) Emerick. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Summit Mills Brethren Church of which she was a member, by the pastor, Rev. Kenneth Ashman. Interment in the Lichty Cemetery under direction of W. C. Price & Son. Meyersdale Republican, June 7, 1945
