MYRTLE FIRL

  Mrs. Myrtle (Becker) Firl, 47, Meyersdale, died Sept. 15, in the Somerset 
County Hospital.  Her husband, Preston Firl, preceded her in death.
  She was born Oct. 5, 1901, at Mt. Savage, Md., the daughter of George and 
Lillian (Martin) Becker.
  A son, Preston, Jr., was killed in Germany in World War II.  She is survived 
by two brothers, Earl Becker of Meyersdale, and Eugene Becker, Hagerstown, Md., 
and by two sisters, Mrs. Charles Brown, Philadelphia, and Mrs. Daniel Walker, 
Somerset.
  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in the Konhaus Funeral 
Home, the Rev. Edwin C. Nagle, pastor of Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church.  
Interment was made in Hays Church Cemetery.
