Born Aug. 27, 1909 in Lincoln Township, he is the son of the late Clarence and Ella (Ankney) Fisher. Also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth; sisters, Bertha Mull and Hazel Ogline, and a brother Paul. Survived by his wife the former Stella Putman to whom he was married 69 years. Also survived by children: Delores McClellan and John Fisher both of Stoystown, Donald Fisher of Lincoln Township, Donna Marinari of Fredricksburg, Va., Robert Fisher of Thomas Mills, Nancy Nelson of Cummings, Ga., Sandra Avery of Stafford, Va., Linda Greig of Somerset and Terry Fisher of Boswell. Thirty grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Brother of Glenn Fisher and Marian Gindlesperger both of Quecreek and a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Fisher of Hershey. Member of Sipesville Church of the Brethren and the U.M.W.A. Retired coal miner for Soxman Coal Co. and Consolidated Coal Co. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the Sipesville Church of the Brethren with Pastor Danny Bailey officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.
