Fisher, 74, of Somerset RD 6, died June 8, 1990, at Somerset Hospital. Born Dec. 14, 1915, in Jenner Township, son of the late Alpha E. and Mary E. (Ogline) Fisher. Also preceded in death by stepfather, Gordon Hurd; first wife, the former Ethel E. Bruner; a daughter, Lois Chonko, and brothers, Clyde and Luther. He is survived by his second wife, the former Ruth E. (Barkman) Moore-Fisher, and these children: Jay E. of Somerset RD 6; Kenneth W. of Daytona Beach, Fla.; step children: Mrs. Jack (Shirley) Ankeny of Somerset, Mrs. Ronald (Judy) Mostoller of Berlin RD 4, and Ms. Mary Jane Rose of Bedford; also six grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandson. Brother of Mrs. Ruth Putman of Jenner Crossroads. Member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, VFW Post 554 and the IOOF. An honorary member of Somerset Fire Department. Retired truck driver for Agway. Veteran of WWII. Friends were received Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Donald Knowles officiating.
