Born in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Bruce and Margaret (Chapman) Fisher. Mr. Fisher lived in Old Saybrook for most of his adult life. He was retired from Electric Boat after 28 years of service, was a US Navy veteran, a member of St. Mark's Church in Westbrook, Conn., and the American Legion and the Lions Club. Besides his wife of 46 years, he is survived by three sons: Timothy Fisher of Old Saybrook; John Fisher of Westbrook; and Eric Fisher of Old Saybrook; one daughter, Stephanie Tooker of Jupiter, Fla.; one brother, James "Chappie" Fisher of Westerly, R.I.; one sister, Mary Seeker of Arcadia, Calif.; five grandchildren: Christopher Deragon, Matthew Tooker, Ashley, Kevin and Betsy Fisher. He was predeceased by one brother, Bill Fisher. Friends were received at the Swan Funeral Home, Old Saybrook, Sunday, Aug. 4. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5 at St. Mark's Church, Westbrook. Burial was at the convenience of the family.
