He was born in Hamburg, Germany, March 17, 1872, a son of William F. and Henrietta Fisher. At the age of 11, he came to this country, with his parents, locating in Meyersdale. He was the last surviving charter member of the local L.O.O.M. Surviving are his wife, Gertrude; a daughter, Pauline, Mrs. W. B. Rose, and a son, William, both of Detroit, Mich., and two step-sons, Earl F. Beynon, Somerset, and Paul D. Beynon, Meyersdale. One sister, Mrs. E. W. Knisley, Creston, Ill., and a granddaughter, Beverly Beynon, also survive. Funeral services were conducted at the Fisher home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, under the direction of Rev. Gerald Polman, pastor of the Main St. Brethren Church. Interment was made in Union Cemetery, under the direction of W. C. Price and Son. Meyersdale Republican, April 15, 1948
