Fisher, 78, of Quecreek, died Sept. 5, 2002 at Somerset Hospital. Born, Oct. 13, 1923 in Lincoln Township, he is the son of the late Clarence and Ella (Ankney) Fisher. Also preceded in death by his wife, the former Harriet E. Rankin, grandson Duane, sisters, Bertha Mull and Hazel Ogline; brothers Paul and Albert Fisher. Survived by children: Mrs. Silas (Gloria Ann) Wilt of Meyersdale, Clark E. Fisher of Lancaster, Glenn E. Fisher Jr. of Quecreek and Harry Rankin of Somerset; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. Also a sister, Marian Gindlesperger of Quecreek. Member of Acosta Church of God and a retired painter. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where a service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Duane Koontz officiating. Interment in Sipesville Cemetery. Daily American, September 6, 2002 [F0379]
