Fisher, 93, of Salisbury, died March 14, 1997, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, Md. Born Sept. 5, 1993*, at Shaft, Md., a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Trapp) Chapman. Preceded in death by husband, Bruce L. Fisher, on Sept. 6, 1989; a son, J. William "Bill" Fisher; 3 brothers; William, John and George Chapman, and 4 sisters: Florence Morrissey, Leola Miller, Josephine Yarnall and Bernadette Chorpenning. She is survived by 2 sons, Eugene Fisher, Salisbury, and James "Chappie" Fisher, Westerly, R.I., a daughter, Mary Catherine Secker**, Arcadia, Calif.; a brother, Francis Warren Chapman, and a sister, Elizabeth Miller, both of Cumberland, Md.; also 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, West Salisbury. Charter member of Salisbury VFW Auxiliary. Friends were received Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bernard White officiating. Interment, Parish cemetery.
