Mrs. Fisher died of pneumonia at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and Mr. Fisher, who had been ill from a complication of diseases for four months, died at 9 o'clock in the evening. A double funeral was held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Garrett Church of the Brethren. The services were conducted by Rev. George L. Detwiler, pastor. Burial in the Ridgeview Cemetery. J. N. Johnson, of Berlin, was the undertaker in charge. Both Mr. and Mrs. Fisher were natives of Somerset County. Mr. Fisher worked as a coal miner for many years. These children survive: Mrs. Lucy Engelka, of Berlin; Mrs. Ida Marker, of Brothersvalley Township; Mrs. Mary Brocht, of Garrett; Mrs. Jennie Weimer, of Stoyestown, and James Fisher, of Pittsburgh. Forty-seven grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren also survive. Meyersdale Republican, February 27, 1930
