Born April 1, 1924 in Jenners, she is the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Hopps. She is survived by ex-husband, James Flanagan, Denver, Colo.; son, George Flanagan and wife Renna, Stoystown, daughter, Betty Jean Sammartino and husband, Alfred of Vero Beach, Fla.; brother, Fredrick Hopps and wife Virginia, Deer Park, N.Y., sister, Anna Layton of Jenners; grandchildren: James Flanagan, Somerset, Melissa Naugle, Boswell, Mark, Peter and Mandy Sammartino, Vero Beach, Fla., Evonne of San Francisco, Calif.; Also two great-grandsons, Cy Danial Flanagan, Stoystown and Luke David Sammartino, Vero Beach, Fla.; also numerous nieces and nephews and inlaws. She grew up in Thomas Mills with her grandmother, Ellen Grasser. She moved to Fort Pierce, Fla. 12 years ago from Central Islip, N.Y. Mrs. Flanagan worked in Electronics for 10 years in Long Island, N.Y. She was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church and the order of St. Francis in Vero Beach and New York.
