Fleegle, 64, of Greensburg died Jan. 30, 2003 in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born May 28, 1938 in Somerset, a son of the late Elmer and Mary E. (Walker) Fleegle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife: Elizabeth (Flowers) Fleegle. He is survived by his wife, Vonnie (Erikson) Fleegle; two sons, Jeffrey L. Fleegle and his wife Sharon of Zebulon, N.C. and Kevin L. Fleegle and his wife Jacquelyn of Cary, N.C.; grandsons, Christian and Aaron Fleegle; stepchildren, Scott Hixson and his wife Denise of Greensburg and Kelli Skidmore and her husband Edward of Shelby, N.C.; stepgrandchildren, Daniel Hixson, Cory, Allie and Addie Skidmore and a brother, Telford Fleegle and his wife Dorothy of Jennerstown. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by Shop N Save at Westmoreland Mall Sourth. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Greensburg where he was active in the church choir. He was also a member of the Hilltop Club of Greensburg and was a peace time veteran of the U.S. Navy. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from Noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Barnhart Funeral Home, 505 E, Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Christian Church, 246 S. Main St., Greensburg with the Rev. Craig T. Hess officiating. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Somerset County Memorial Park. Should friends desire, memorials may be placed with the First Lutheran Church, Greensburg.
