All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ MARY JAN FLESHER Following an illness dating back to last December, Mrs. Mary Jane Flesher, 76 years, 8 months and 26 days old, died Sunday night at 7:00 o'clock at her home in Blackstone road, Greenwood. Death was caused from the infirmities of age. Mrs. Flesher was born in Weston, W. Va., a daughter of the late Amos and Mary J. Jarvis. She spent the greater part of her life at Salisbury, Somerset County. For the past 18 years she had been a resident of Connellsville and was widely and favorably known in the community. She was married May 30, 1873, at Weston, W. Va., to Orlando Flesher, and May 30, 1923, they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at Whistle Park. Mrs. Flesher was a life-long member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and an active worker for many years. Besides her husband, she is survived by five sons, Emery, of Kenmore, Ohio; Ira, of South Fourth street, West Side; Ray E. of Leisering No. 1; Dennis of Oliver No. 1; and Daniel of Akron, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Clyde E. Stewart, of McKeesport. Nineteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one brother, James J. Jarvis, of Weston, W. Va., also survive.
