Flowers, 70, of Garrett, died Jan. 26, 1975, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. A native of Garrett, he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Hostetler) Flowers. He was a retired coal miner with 40 years of service, and had been employed for nine years by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways. Mr. Flowers was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church of Garrett. Surviving are his wife, the former Leona Wahl; a son, Barry Flowers of Garrett; two grandchildren; two brothers, Hiram Flowers, Cumberland; and Robert Flowers, Somerset; and three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Weaver, Mrs. Alzene Jenkins and Mrs. Naomi Ross, all of Cumberland. Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon in Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with Thomas E. Moog officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale. Meyersdale Republic, January 30, 1975 [F0532]
