Fochtman, 67, of Berlin RD 3, died June 21, 1983, at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born July 13, 1915, in Allegheny Township, a son of Henry C. and Clara (Hochard) Fochtman. He was preceded in death by parents, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, the former Rose O'Brien, and these children: Roy, Manns Choice RD 1; Wayne, Mrs. Harold (Theresa) Landis, Henry, Edward and Catherine, all of Berlin RD 3; Patrick, Bernard, Patricia, Dolores and Ronald, all at home; and a stepdaughter, Elizabeth O'Brien, Charleroi; also 13 grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrs. Florence Engbert and Mrs. Gladys Fisher, both of Berlin RD 3; and Mrs. Marie Delancey, Somerset RD 5. He was a retired farmer and an army veteran of World War II; member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church, New Baltimore, and Harry Fisher Post 445 American Legion, Berlin. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John's Church, New Baltimore, with the Rev. Clyde Ozminkowski officiating.
