  VIOLA F. FOCHTMAN
  
    Viola F. Fochtman, 94, of Westlake, Ohio, formerly of Berlin, died Dec.
  23, 1999, at Haborside Health Care, Westlake.  Born Feb. 16, 1905, in New
  Baltimore, Somerset County, she was the daughter of the late Francis and
  Anastasia (Bittlebrun) Schaab.  She was the widow of Clarence J. Fochtman
  who preceded her in death on May 24, 1957.  Preceded in death by the
  following brothers and sisters, Olive O'Brien, Irene Grasser, Elizabeth
  Stafford, Gerald Schaab, Mary Berendsen, Rose Hillegas, Aloysius Schaab and
  Francis Schaab.  Survived by daughter, Grace Herwig, Westlake, and one
  grandson.  She was employed as a nursing home cook for 19 years.  She was a
  member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore, and St.
  Bernadette Church, Westlake.  Vigil for the deceased will be held from 7-9
  p.m., Monday at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.  Friends are
  invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at
  10 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Mark Begly, celebrant, officiating.  Interment at
  St. John's Cemetery, New Baltimore.
