FOLK Springs, PA Friends here of Edward A. Folk, of Phoenix, Ariz., received a telegram on Feb. 19, telling of his death. He was a son of the late Abraham Folk and has five sisters, two brothers and two half-sisters and a step-mother still living here. He also leaves a widow and four daughters in Arizona. He had been a sufferer for years of hemorrhoids and stomach trouble. He was aged 53 years and has a large number of relatives living in this vicinity, who were very sorry to hear of his death, as he was of such a nature that he made friends wherever he went. At one time he won a gold watch in a bicycle race from Salisbury to Meyersdale and return via Summit Mills and St. Paul. He was formerly employed by F. W. Bender and was a fine mechanic. None of the relatives went to Arizona to attend his funeral. His wife was a Miss Debolt from Masontown, Pa. Meyersdale Republican, February 27, 1930
