MARTHA FOLK

Grantsville, Maryland

  Martha Folk, 44, died Monday afternoon, March 31, at the home of her brother-
in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hollada, Casselman, after an illness of 
many months.  She was born in the Peck settlement, a daughter of the late 
Abraham and Sara Pletcher Folk, and was the youngest of eleven children. Since 
the death of her mother, last December 26, Miss Folk had made her home with her 
sister.  She had been a member of the Maple Glen Church of the Brethren since 
early childhood.  Surviving, besides her sister, are three half-sisters, Mrs. 
John Niner, Fort Hill, Pa., Mrs. Cora Maust, Grantsville, Mrs. Adam Bittner, 
Connellsville, Pa., and two half-brothers, William Folk, Grantsville, and Simon 
Folk, Fort Hill.
