Folton, 81, Boswell RD, died Sept. 24, 2004, at his home surrounded by his family. Born April 22, 1923, in South Fork, son of Joseph and Victoria (Ochevsky) Folton. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert; sister, Frances Slavich; infant sister, Gladys and brother-in-law, George Orlandi. Survived by wife, the former Lorraine O'Baker; children: Joseph C., Cooperstown, L. Luray, married to James Baraniak, Jennerstown; Jeffrey H., married to former Paula Muro, Buckstown, and Ladelle J., married to Michael Maurer, Boswell RD; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Brother of Edward J., married to the former Rose Carpenteri, Jenners, Mary Jane Orlandi, Berlin, and Ernest A., married to former Mary Lou Bacas, Walton Hills, Ohio. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A 1942 graduate of the former Boswell High School. He was a Pfc. in the U.S. Army, having served with Occupational Forces stationed in Korea from 1948 to 1950. An arc welder with former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 23 years. Member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, where he served as trustee, usher and bell ringer. Also member of Jennerstown Community Sportsmen Club, Ferndale Sportsmen Club and Jenner Rod & Gun Club. He was a former pee wee baseball coach. Avid hunter, fisherman and beagle trainer. Celebrated 54 years of marriage Jan. 27, 2004. Friends received from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Wilma G. Horner officiating.
