  MARY C. FOOTEN
  
    Mary C. Footen, 84, a former resident of this area, died April 8, 1981,
  in the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill at Smyrna, Del., following
  a long illness.
    She was born at Meyersdale, and was a daughter of the late John Edward
  and Susan B. Goodwin.  Her husband, James I. Footen, preceded her in death
  in 1930.
    She is survived by one daughter, Betty F. Lord, of Harrington, Del., with
  whom she resided: five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
    Services were held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Harrington. 
  Interment was in New Cathedral Cemetery, Baltimore.
