Ford, 75, of Meyersdale, died July 2 in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Jan. 6, 1899 in Fairmont, Md. a son of the late Carlton and Margaret Holland Ford. Survived by his widow, the former Bessie Bradfield and these children: David of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti; Paul of Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Kenneth Lundgren of Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Wayne Dunlop of Quincy, Mass. and three grandchildren. A brother of Carlton and Mrs. Grace Wells, both of Baltimore, Md. A member of the United Methodist Church, Meyersdale where he served as layreader [sic] and choir director for 20 years. He was a charter member of the Christian Businessmen's Association, Meyersdale and a member of the Board of Directors of the Mountain Lake Park Holliness [sic] Camp Meeting Association. He was often asked to be guest evangelistic singer at many local churches. Employed by the National Biscuit Co. for 34 years. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the William R. Price Funeral Home Inc., Meyersdale. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Meyersdale with the Rev. Paul Snyder officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery. He was a member and lay leader of First United Methodist Church of Meyersdale and served as its choir director for 20 years. He was a charter member of Meyersdale Christian Business Men's Committee and also was a member of the board of directors of Mt. Lake Park Holiness Camp Meeting Association. Surviving are his wife, the former Bessie Bradford; two sons, David Ford of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and Paul Ford, Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Lundgren, Baltimore, and Mrs. Wayne Dunlop, Quincy, Mass.; also three grandchildren; a brother, Carlton Ford, and a sister, Mrs. Grace Wells, Baltimore. Funeral service was held Friday morning in the United Methodist Church, Meyersdale, with Rev. Paul Snyder officiating.
