Forman, aged 58, died last Friday morning, January 14, after a year's illness, at his home in Greenville Township. He was born in Preston County, W.Va., the son of the late Ami and Margaret (Feathers) Forman, and lived in Oakland, Md., prior to coming to Greenville Township five years ago. He was a farmer and a monument salesman for the Johnson Memorial Works, and was a member of the Woodmen of the World. Surviving are his wife, Ada (Hostetler) Forman, and the following children by a previous marriage: James, Elkins, W.Va.; Carroll and Kathryn, wife of Harry Lewis, both of Bergoo, W.Va.; John H., Baltimore; Marguerite, wife of George Mazer, Deal; Josephine, Oakland, Md.; Calvin, Berlin; and Jean and Lu Ann at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Barkman and Mrs. Russell Beckman, of Oakland, also survive. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock on Monday afternoon in the Hostetler Church of the Brethren, of which the deceased was a member. Rev. DeWitt Miller officiated, assisted by Rev. John Grimm of Frostburg, Md. Interment was made in the church cemetery, in charge of Stanley Thomas, Salisbury mortician. Meyersdale Republican, January 20, 1944
