Forno, 62, of Addison passed away suddenly July 24, 2000 in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born Nov. 30, 1937 in Lawrence, son of Rose Forno of Lawrence and the late Joseph Forno. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife JoAnn Speranza Forno, three children, Yolanda Michelle Harman and husband Keith of Accident, Md.; Toni Glotfelty and husband Matthew of Accident, Md., Pete A. Forno of Stephens City, Va., one grandchild, Blake Harman. A sister, Janet Cass and husband Harold of McDonald, and a brother, Joseph Forno and wife Carole of Monroeville. Mr. Forno was a member of St. Joan of Arc R.C. Church where he was a member of the church council and church choir. He had been a member and Grand Knight with Knight of Columbus Council #9548 Great Meadows, a former member of Addison Water Authority and a Constable in Addison. He was a graduate of Clarion University where he earned his bachelor's degree, continuing at Duquesne University for his master's degree and his Administrative Education at University of Pittsburgh. Pete was an educator in various school districts, was principal and superintendent at Turkeyfoot. He was a member of Addison Volunteer Fire Dept. and was active with the School Improvement Team at Northern High School. He was an avid gardner [sic] and singer. Enjoyed candle making and spending time with his family. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home, Farmington. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday morning, time to be announced in St. Joan of Arc R. C. Church, Farmington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joan of Arc R. C. Choir Church fund, the Addison United Methodist Church Building Fund or St. John LCMS at the Cove Rd., Addison. Daily American, July 26, 2000 [F0653]
