  CARL FOUST
  
  Carl D. Foust, 83, Berlin RD 4, died Jan. 25, 1988, in Somerset Township. 
  Born April 27, 1904, in Brothersvalley Township, son of the late Simon
  Peter and Matrona (Brant) Foust.  His death coincided with that of his
  wife, the former Thelma A. Barnhart.  Preceded in death by three brothers:
  Kenneth, John and Edward.  Survived by these children: Mrs. Donald E.
  (Catherine) Van Gilder, Berlin RD 4; Mrs. James A. (Marie) Reed, Annandale,
  Va.; and Mrs. Wayne (Bernice) Bridegum, Hyattsville, Md.; also nine
  grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Brother of: Mrs. Goldie
  Swift, Berlin RD 4.  Retired farmer.  Member of Ridge United Church of
  Christ, and Uniontown Motor Club for 58 years. Friends received from 7-9
  p.m. Wednesday (today) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastors
  George E. Bowersox Jr. and Harvey Stouffer officiating.  Interment, Husband
  Cemetery.  Family suggests contributions to the Ridge United Church of
  Christ or Trinity Lutheran Church.
