Foust, 73, Berlin RD 4, died Jan. 25, 1988, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Jan. 8, 1915, in Somerset, daughter of the late George Leroy and Flora Catherine (Lafferty) Barnhart. Her death coincides with that of her husband, Carl D. Foust. Survived by children: Mrs. Donald E. (Catherine) Van Gilder, Berlin RD 4; Mrs. James (Marie) Reed, Annandale, Va.; Mrs. Wayne (Bernice) Bridegum, Hyattsville, Md.; also nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Sister of: Mrs. Mae Foust, Berlin RD 4; Miss A. Catherine Barnhart, and William G. Barnhart, both of Somerset; and Mrs. Joseph (Alma) Foreman, Tama, Iowa. Former employee of Snyder's of Berlin for 21 years. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Somerset, and the Ridge Homemakers. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday (today) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with pastors George E. Bowersox Jr. and Harvey Stouffer officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church of Ridge United Church of Christ.
