"Red" Foy, 89, of Somerset, formerly of Meyersdale, died May 9, 1998, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Dec. 6, 1908 in Meyersdale, a son of the late Samuel G. and Mary (Kumph) Foy. Also preceded in death by his wife, the former Jeroma B. "Mickie" D'Amico; 2 brothers, 7 sisters, and an infant son, William. Survived by these children: Charles E. Foy Jr., Conyers, Ga.; Barbara F. Caroff, Windber; Mary Frances Godri, Pittston; and Teresa L. Bartos, Tylersburg; also 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and niece, Marguerite E. Rumgay, Meyersdale. A retired state surface mine inspector. World War II veteran of U.S. Navy. Member of the NRA, and life member of VFW Post #3504 Meyersdale. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Philip & James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, with Msgr.
